Lord of the FliesChapter
11-Castle Rock
"What a chapter "
Perspective: Me
1. Piggy tells Ralph to blow the conch and call a meeting.
2. Piggy thinks that Jack will give him his glasses back because he can’t see without them at all.
3. Ralph wants them to look civilized and higher than them, you could call it a talisman against their corruptively.
4. Roger is guarding Jack’s camp from intruders so he asks Ralph what he’s doing there.
5. When Jack returns from hunting he finds Ralph, Piggy and Samneric.
6. Ralph calls Jack a thief for stealing Piggy’s glasses and that makes Jack mad, they began to fight.
7. Once Ralph and Jack are done fighting captured Samneric are forced to join Jacks clan.
8. While delirious Roger is putting his weight on the stick to send a rock tumbling down the mountain Piggy is asking for Ralph to return to his side.
9. Ralph was the cause of Piggy’s death. Roger purposely leaned against a stick that would lead to a giant rock falling down a mountain. If he had no intentions of anyone getting hurt or dying he would have stayed clear away from that rock. But instead he truculently sent that rock down the cliff at helpless Piggy. In the whole book Roger was looking for trouble, he threw rocks at people. Not hitting them but to provoke them. He’s almost just like Jack. Jack and Roger kill with no common sense; if they had not lost themselves to savagery and kept some common sense then they’re evilness would have a cessation. In the end the amount of force that Roger put on that leaver was nothing that could happen accidently.
Over all Roger is responsible for Piggy’s death. Don’t you think if you are in control over something you take the blame for whatever it does?
